Introducing BASIS Independent Bellevue, a private school, and the tenth campus to join the world-acclaimed BASIS Independent Schools network. The BASIS Curriculum, founded in 1998 is an exceptional academic program and is regularly lauded for both top academic performance and student satisfaction. Our program, rooted in the liberal arts with advanced STEM offerings, is designed to cultivate children’s abilities to acquire new skills and competencies, and build the foundation for a bright future with unlimited potential. The BASIS Curriculum is consistently recognized among the best on both the national and international stages, and gained notoriety for its breadth, depth, and ability to successfully teach high-level content and critical thinking to students at a young age.
Primary Program: In the primary years, students in grades 3 and 4 benefit from our unique two-teacher model as they make connections between their various subjects. Primary students engage in Mandarin, STEM, visual arts, and more!
Middle School Program: In grades 5–8, middle school students build autonomy and hone their critical-thinking and problem-solving skills. They take biology, chemistry, and physics simultaneously in grades 6-8, as well as courses in differentiated math, logic, Latin and more.
High School Program: BASIS Independent students are prepared to enter the world's best colleges and universities through advanced preparation and a distinct senior year. We are actively working with the city of Bellevue to offer high school in the near future.
