BASIS Independent Fremont | Private School | TK–grade 12
About BASIS Independent Fremont:
We are a TK–grade 12 private school in the Bay Area.
Home to the globally benchmarked BASIS Curriculum, a STEM-focusedliberal arts program designed to inspire mastery and excellence in our students as they learn at the highest international levels.
Our teachers are passionate educators with proven subject expertise who make learning an engaged and joyful endeavor.
We offer 39 clubs and sports to help students discover new passions, participate in diverse activities, and build social skills outside of the classroom environment.
The Early Learning Program (TK–Kindergarten):
Transitional Kindergarten (TK) is designed for students who are not yet ready for our Kindergarten program, but for whom a traditional PreK curriculum wouldn't offer social-emotional and academic achievement.
The Early Learning curriculum in Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten is both challenging and pedagogically appropriate while fostering discovery, independence, and love of learning.
Each classroom is led by two teachers who are experts in early childhood education and who empower students to ask questions and broaden their understanding of the world inside and outside the classroom.
Students take interactive and hands-on courses in literacy, math, science, and social studies, as well as “specials” classes such as Mandarin, visual arts, music, and STEM.
Upon successful completion of TK, students will have a guaranteed spot in Kindergarten.
