Applicants to grades 5-10 are invited to visit the Hawk’s Nest! As you explore our Red-Tailed Hawk community, join BASIS Independent McLean students, teachers, and administrators for a half-day on campus.
Our Shadow Day Program provides a unique peek into life as a Red-Tailed Hawk. A Shadow Day will help you get to know us better, experience our campus, and make friends.
Upcoming Dates:
Monday, April 25
The Shadow Day begins with a morning welcome from our Student Ambassadors, where you will hear about life on campus and go over your schedule for the day. Following this introduction, you will see some classes in action before joining a group of Student Ambassadors for a "lunch bunch" with some pop-ins from faculty, deans, directors and more.
Applicants may stay on-campus to complete their entrance exam and/or family meeting/interview following the Shadow Day. Advanced notice is required for this option.
